Ms. Hampton won a Frisco Education Foundation grant this year. Her hard work led to a very cool experience for our students.

Just like with all our groups, hard to believe these students are only freshmen.

New LTHS Band Director

We are incredibly grateful for the service of Mr. Holzer as the inaugural band director and the amazing work of the band team of Dr. Parks, Mr. Schaul, Mr. Arjuna, and Ms. Potter.  They have already built a reputation of a high quality band program.  We know Ms. Wykoff has a great team and amazing students to lead in 2017-18.

WykoffMs. Kelly Wykoff comes to Lebanon Trail after her 8th year as Associate Director at Centennial High School. During her tenure at Centennial, Ms. Wykoff’s non-varsity and sub non-varsity bands achieved Sweepstakes ratings every year, and received numerous Best in Class ratings at festivals around the country. As Associate Director, Ms. Wykoff directed the State Finalist marching band, and conducted Symphonic Winds, Concert Band II, and Jazz Ensemble II.

Originally from San Antonio, Ms. Wykoff graduated with a Bachelors degree in Music Education with a concentration in trumpet from Texas Tech University.  During her time at Texas Tech, she performed with the Symphonic Band, Jazz Ensemble, Goin’ Band from Raiderland, and Court Jesters basketball band. In the summer of 2007, she performed with the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps. Ms. Wykoff is also an active drill writer, adjudicator and clinician in the North Texas area.

She is looking forward to being a part of the incredible future of the Trailblazer Band, and to meeting both parents and students at Hype Day this Tuesday, April 25th.

Here Comes Algebra and Biology EOC

Students will be taking the Algebra I EOC on Tuesday, May 2nd and the Biology EOC on Wednesday, May 3rd. Each test is four hours long and due to the necessity of a secure and effective testing environment, we ask the following of parents and guardians:

  1. Please try to avoid scheduling doctor’s appointments for your child on these days to allow students the full time frame to test.
  2. Please do not deliver lunches to your child on testing days, we will not be delivering lunches from parents on these days.
  3. If students are ill that day, they will take their test on the designated make-up days (Thursday & Friday) of that week. Please encourage your student to attend, unless they are ill.
  1. Please encourage your child to get a good night’s sleep and eat a good breakfast that morning. Overall, tell your students to relax and do their best.

Congratulations to the JV Tennis Team on their outstanding finishes at the JV District Tournament on Tuesday.  The Trail Blazers swept the Boys Singles and had a great finish in Boys Doubles.  Boys Singles medalists:  Adtihya Viswanathan – 1st place, Vishnu Venkatachalam – 2nd place, Taha Khalilullah – 3rd place.  Boys Doubles medalists:  Cameron Sutherland and Patrick Kelly – 3rd place.
