For the past seven years Mr. Vanderpool has held the position of Head Director of Orchestras at Rowe High School in McAllen, TX. Before his employment with McAllen ISD, Mr. Vanderpool graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelors of Music Education and Masters of Music Performance degree. While studying at Baylor University, Mr. Vanderpool taught private cellos lessons, and worked for the Central Texas String Academy and Baylor University String Project. From 2002-2012, Mr. Vanderpool worked and conducted at the Baylor University Middle School and High School Orchestra camps. Although teaching takes up a lot time, Mr. Vanderpool is an avid orchestral and chamber musician, which lead him to found the Rio Grande Valley Chamber Music Society in 2013. The RGVCMS gives performances regularly throughout the year in the upper Rio Grande Valley. Mr. Vanderpool is thrilled to have the opportunity to join the other Fine Arts faculty and looks forward to building a preeminent Orchestra program, and family, with the students at Lebanon Trail High School.
